UPDATE: Widespread Telecommunication Network Issues

At this time upstream providers are reporting that the network issue has been resolved and are continuing to monitor the network for stability. The issue appears to have been caused by a “route leak” that originated with Level 3 and caused a cascading effect to other providers across the nation. More info on the event can be found at Wired:
